The popular tourist town of La Herradura is located in the south-west of the Province of Granada and approximately 25kms from Nerja. It is located in a natural bay with the peaks of the Natural Park of Las Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara & Alhama providing a dramatic backdrop.
La Herradura has everything expected of a coastal tourist town with many bars and restaurants and has a chiringuito famous for its paella, which is cooked in a huge dish over an open fire every Sunday throughout the summer.
Water sports lovers will find plenty to enjoy at the neighbouring Marina del Este which is found on the eastern side of town. This marina is sited in a beautiful bay which is popular to sun worshippers.
